In total I've been six days here in Gili Meno, close to Lombok, east of Bali. The boat trip took about two hours with the speedboat, tailwind, no rain and the temperature at about 30 degrees making the trip very comfortable.
Meno is the smallest island out of three. Almost no tourists, some restaurants and groups of bungalows. Now it’s low season so it’s more desolate than normal.
There is a feeling of authenticity here and it's easy to be truly connected with nature. No motor vehicles, only horse coaches for transportation! You hear the waves slowly breaking at the shore, sometimes a fishingboat or a snorkeling excursion boat passes. Slow days with yoga on the beach, meditating or snorkeling. Just being… These days have given me a feeling of true relaxation, I am beginning to feel like I don't need to do anything, just connect with nature.
